  • Perform the duties of auditing the security of port facilities operated by private companies as a designated agency based on the contract with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries under Article 38 (Vicarious Performance of Security Verification) of the “International Ship and Port Facility Security Act”

Main Content

  • Perform a security audit for port facilities managed and operated by the owner to check whether measures are appropriately implemented following port facility security plans
    • What is port security? Port security aims to prevent the destruction of ships and port facilities, the act of bringing in and concealing explosives and weapons, and the act and related situations that pose a threat to security while seafarers and other interested parties board and disembark a ship and cargo is discharged.

Application Procedure

  • Submit an application (Form 18 in the Enforcement Rules of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Act) for an audit to the division of KOMSA, which is in charge of audit via e-mail upon the arrival of the base date for a port facility security audit.
