Management for safety operation of Passenger Ships

To provide safe and convenient sea routes for the public by operating field-oriented safety management system, safety training of vessel crews, and real-time vessel monitoring system.

Safe Operation Division

Operation Management Office
- To control safety operation measures for Special and Seasonal Transport period
- To execute of project plans related to Passenger Ship Operation Management
- To collect and distribute information and reports regarding Marine Accidents
- To annually plan of Passenger Ship Operation Management and recording of the results
- To produce quarterly and yearly summary and statistics of passenger ship transport
Operation System Office
- To improve of Passenger Ship Operation Management system
- To legislate proposals (for enactment and revision) of laws and regulations relevant to Passenger Ship Operation Management
- To provide external support of inspection and training for non-passenger ships
- To develop of the situation management system in case of marine accidents and providing the training
