Survey on Fuel Oil Usage of Coastal Shipping Vessels
Purpose
- To efficiently achieve the goals of the maritime sector's "2030 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reduction Roadmap" and meet the sector-specific reduction target of 191,000 tCO₂-eq.
- To collect baseline data on coastal shipping GHG emissions for designating management companies under Article 27 of the Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality and Article 19 of its Enforcement Decree.
Survey Targets
- Coastal passenger and cargo transportation companies defined in Articles 3 and 23 of the Marine Transport Act.
- Related sectors such as tugboat services, ship fuel supply businesses, and ship fuel storage tank cleaning services.
Survey Contents
- Vessel specifications for the past three years.
- Annual fuel consumption per vessel.
- Sulfur content of the fuel used per vessel.
Methods of Survey
- Distribution and reception of survey forms via office landlines and fax.
- Electronic submission through the Ship Emission Management System (SEM).
