The Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Target Management System is designed to contribute to national greenhouse gas reduction goals by annually selecting entities that emit GHGs beyond a certain threshold. These designated entities set reduction targets and manage their emissions within these specified targets.

Selection/Designation of Entities (Year t-1, March/June) → Target Setting (Year t-1, August) → Submission of Implementation Plan (Year t-1, December) → System Implementation (Year t ~ t+4) → Performance Verification (Year t+5, August)

Designation of Managed Entities
Criteria for Designation
Entities or individual workplaces whose average annual greenhouse gas emissions over the past three years exceed the stipulated threshold can voluntarily apply to become designated managed entities.

Procedure for Entity Designation
Official announcement annually by June 30
Individual entities are notified in writing on the announcement day
Objection Procedures for Designation
Entities objecting to their designation must submit relevant explanatory documents along with Applilcation Form(Appendix 4) as per the guideline, within 30 days of the designation announcement.
Supporting documents must be official documents objectively proving the changes.
Important Notices:
Objections exceeding the deadline will not be accepted
Only official documents will be accepted; internal company documents or processed data will not be considered.
Review Procedure and Re-assessment
Submission of Obejection: Within 30 days from announcement
Re-assessment: Within 17 days after the objection deadline
Notification of Results and Revised Announcement: Within 30 days after the objection deadline
